Attorney Patrick Roberts of North Carolina served as the inaugural Attorney of the Month throughout the foundational build of !DueCourse™ and the !FocusFrame™ system. His selection was not случай or promotional. It was rooted in alignment, substance, and impact.
During the early stages of developing !DueCourse™, Patrick Roberts presented a question that directly shaped the direction of this platform. He asked what role I intended to play in the legal profession, specifically within the criminal justice system. That question became a turning point.
At the time, my answer was clear. I explained that I was building !DueCourse™ as a new way to approach legal education and retention. I also shared my intention to work as a legal paraprofessional, focusing on housing court. The reasoning was simple. Housing instability sits at the center of recidivism, poverty, and systemic breakdown. Addressing housing is not separate from criminal justice. It is part of it.
Before I fully understood the evolving scope of paraprofessional practice in places like Minnesota, I already saw the connection between access to legal support and long-term outcomes for individuals navigating the system. That perspective aligned with the broader mission behind !DueCourse™.
Patrick Roberts’ work, presence, and subject matter provided a meaningful foundation during that phase. His influence is reflected not only in this archive, but in the direction this platform has taken.
